Down Home Blues Open Mic & Guitar Clinic

Fiery Ron's Home Team BBQ introduces a Down Home Blues Open Mic and Guitar Clinic with bluesman Steve Cheseborough on Tuesdays, November 23rd, 30th and December 7th at 2209 Middle Street on Sullivan's Island. At 6pm, guests meet and greet with Steve and receive a brief blues lesson and then at 7pm can get on stage to sing the blues or listen to others during the blues open mic until 8pm. The evenings will wind up with a set from the master himself from about 9-10pm. These are nights to come sing the blues, get a lesson in how to play them or just sit back and listen while enjoying award-winning BBQ and fine libations such as the famous frozen painkiller!

Bluesman, author, and professor, Steve Cheseborough is steeped in the music of Memphis Minnie, Muddy Waters, Charley Jordan, Bo Carter, Robert Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Lemon Jefferson and the other great blues artists and works from their original recordings as well as his experience in Delta juke joints. Steve Cheseborough plays the 1920s-30s-style acoustic blues, sounding eerily like an old 78 record, but without the scratches.

Home Team BBQ provides Southern comfort food, a fun bar, rustic atmosphere and great entertainment including the best sports and music with up-and-coming blues, bluegrass, rock, country, and alternative country artists weekly. While Fiery Ron's Home Team BBQ's menu accommodates every appetite with traditional, authentic BBQ, ribs, chicken and pulled pork, both locations also feature a larger menu of tempting choices of appetizers, salads, quesadillas and tacos as well as down home, finger lickin' sides and tasty desserts. Additionally, Home Team BBQ offers large party takeout orders and full service catering with delivery.
