| Blue Pie Records Teams Up With Swamp Monk Music Works Blue Pie welcomes Swamp Monk Music Works to the label roster. Swamp Monk Music Works was founded by Michael and Kim Taylor. Michael Traylor is a Producer/Musician and Member of the Academy of Recording Arts, Roots Music Association and Blues Foundation of America. Michael and Swamp Monk Music Works. are a product of the swamps of Florida and the Florida State University School of Music. Michael has toured the world over many times performing to millions of people in many different musical styles. From the Far East, South East Asia, and Australia; to Europe, Scandinavia, and the Balkans...and of course all over the USA more times than he can count. Michael has been recording in studios since 1969 from Atlanta to Los Angeles, San Francisco to Nashville, London to Tallahassee. This has given Michael a wealth of insight of the intricacies of the music business. Michael has been endorsed by Ludwig Drums (featured in the history of the Ludwig Drum Company), Sabian cymbals, Cappella Drum Sticks, and most recently Silver Fox Percussion. In recent years Michael has been touring and recording with Captain Beefheart's Magic Band and having releases on ATP Records, London England and Proper Records, also in London and with Members of the Magic Band include John " Drumbo" French, Mark "Rockette Morton" Boston, Denny Walley (also of Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention fame) and Gary Lucas. Other artists Michael has toured and or recorded with are Tommy Tutone, Warren Haynes, Duck (w/Mark Boston), Fabian, Denny King, Morton Downey Jr., Leon Evertte, The Forrester Sisters, John Conlee, Wendel Adkins, Connie Smith, as well as others.
