| Mike Albert Project Announces New Drummer Mike Albert Project — the project led by former Megadeth touring guitarist Mike Albert — has announced the addition of drummer Austin Burcham to the group's ranks. According to the band, "[Austin] is a MI graduate with a BS degree in music and he is totally incredible!" Mike Albert Project 's "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" video can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's latest CD, "Afterlife", which was released last year via Big Deal Records. The band's lead guitarist at the time, Chris Poland, had left the band due to personal reasons. In need of a new axeman for the upcoming tour, MEGADETH recruited Mike Albert, who performed all 40 shows with the group.
