| Paco de Lucía Visits Paris for his Farewell Tour by Dennis Payne On Tuesday, the 16th of November 2010, Flamenco virtuoso Paco de Lucia will entertain fans in Paris. There will be a mixture of joy and sorrow as flamenco lovers hear the master guitarist play a musical goodbye during his "tournée d'adieu" (farewell tour). He has been performing for over 50 years. Born in Cádiz in 1947, De Lucía is a composer and master guitarist, and is considered by many to be the world's best modern flamenco guitarist. He is a leading proponent of the Modern Flamenco style, and is one of the few guitarists who has enjoyed success in multiple genres, including classical, jazz, world music, and both classical and modern flamenco. He is the winner of the 2004 Prince of Asturias Awards in Arts. ParisGuestlist.com, (a division of the cultural publisher, CityRoom.com), will be covering the event. Tickets for the Paco de Lucía concert are between 43€ and 80€ and will be available soon.
