| Broche à Foin raises funds for Joan Mantle Music Trust A Greater Sudbury jazz band, Broche à Foin, are releasing its new album at a community concert, with proceeds to benefit the Joan Mantle Music Trust. The local group, made of Philip May, Jean-Yves Bégin, Peter Scherzinger, Gary DiSalle and Joe Reda, have performed with a number of "Canadian jazz greats, " according to a press release from the Rainbow District School Board. Their sophomore album, People We Have Known, highlights the bands "extensive repertoire, ranging from jazz and blues to country and classical." Funds raised at the CD release concert will go toward enhancing music programs in Rainbow Schools. Tyler Campbell, Rainbow District School Board Chair, said $65, 000 has already been raised by the program.
