Seville Hosts Paco de Lucia Gig

Hugely successful guitarist and composer Paco de Lucia will be bringing his considerable talent to a Seville stage, which is sure to appeal to many music enthusiasts. The Spaniard is currently carrying out a world tour and it is a measure of his popularity and skill that he is playing in such a significant variety of destinations, from France and Spain to Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Although de Lucia is widely considered to be one of the foremost modern flamenco guitarists in the world, he has also dabbled in jazz and world music, as well as some classical compositions.

This living legend will be taking the stage at Seville's Teatro de la Maestranza on October 9th, when it is likely that a lot of the accommodation Seville has to offer will be filled with eager fans.

Some music enthusiasts may recognise de Lucia's name from a collaboration he did with Canadian rocker Bryan Adams, with the pair recording Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman together.

Among the honours bestowed upon this musical treasure are an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music in Boston and the 2004 Prince of Asturias award in arts.
