Moody Blues Set to Play Bournemouth

Legendary British rock band The Moody Blues will arrive in Bournemouth as part of their UK tour next month. The veteran group, who have sold over 50 million albums worldwide in a career spanning five decades, are set to play the Bournemouth International Centre Windsor Hall on Thursday September 23rd.

Formed in Birmingham in 1964, the Blues are perhaps best known for their epic 1967 single Nights in White Satin.

However, the group were also one of the first acts to fuse elements of classical music with more contemporary sounds, pushing the boundaries of pop music and helping to develop a new genre now known as progressive rock.

With tickets priced at GBP37.50, the south coast concert is sure to attract many fans to Bournemouth hotels.

Die-hard fans of the Blues should be keen to attend, as the band's recorded output has been sparse of late.

Although they continue to tour regularly, they have not released a studio album since 2003's December - a festive-themed record featuring covers of White Christmas and In the Bleak Midwinter.

The group's UK tour is set to begin in Brighton on September 7th and will finish with a concert at London's O2 Arena on September 25th.
