| Sara Bareilles to play the House of Blues Sara Bareilles will return to the road this fall for a headlining tour that stops in Massachusetts in November. The singer-songwriter and pianist will hit the hub for a show at Boston's House of Blues on Tuesday, November 9. Tickets are now on sale through Live Nation for $22.50. Opening for Bareilles is Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Cary Brothers. Bareilles will be touring in support of her forthcoming release, Kaleidoscope Heart. The highly anticipated album is scheduled to hit stores on September 7. Kaleidoscope Heart follows her 2007 major label debut, Little Voice, which was nominated for a Grammy and featured the hit single "Love Song". The first single off of the new album, "King of Anything", was released earlier this summer and is now streaming on her MySpace. "King of Anything" is sort of a 'fuck you' song, " Bareilles quipped in a press release. "I've had more unsolicited advice on my life than I care to mention, and this was how I dealt with it. It felt empowering to turn that frustration into music, especially a song that doesn't even sound angry. That's sort of what 'Love Song' was as well. Apparently, I don't get over things very quickly." Bareilles was last in the area last month as part of the Lilith Fair tour's stop at the Comcast Center in Mansfield. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Jazz News :: home page |
