| Eric Burdon and The Animals to Play Munich Eric Burdon and his band The Animals are getting ready to bring their classic blues rock sound to Munich at the start of September. The group are playing a show at the city's Muffathalle venue on September 4th and demand for tickets - as well as rooms in Munich hotels - is sure to be high. Burdon and The Animals have been together in various iterations since they first formed in Newcastle back in 1962 and although the line-up may have changed several times over the years, the standard of their live shows certainly hasn't. This means that fans who are lucky enough to get their hands on tickets for the show should still be treated to some of the best tracks from the group's extensive back catalogue, including their iconic 1965 hit single We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place. Back in 2004, Rolling Stone magazine placed the song at 223rd in its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and it was hugely popular at the time of its release, after being embraced by the US Armed Forces during the Vietnam War. British tourists who attend the Muffathalle gig may find it is their only opportunity to see Burdon playing under the name 'The Animals'.
