| Louis Hayes; Jammin' On The Hudson on August 15th Riverbank State Park, in association with Brownstone Entertainment Complex, LLC, for our sixth consecutive year are pleased to present: "Jammin' On The Hudson." 'Jammin'; The Summer Concert Series for the 'serious' Jazz Lover! What could be more inviting than listening to the sounds of great Jazz Artists, cast out over The Hudson River, at sunset, for Free?! On Sunday August 15th we present a percussionist who is somewhat of a jazz icon. A Drummers' Drummer who began his career at the age of nineteen, working with the legendary Horace Silver....This gentleman was also one of the original members of "The Communicators" featuring Joe Henderson, Cedar Walton and Freddie Hubbard, and later was a part of Julian "Cannonball" Adderleys' Band, along with Sam Jones, Joe Zawinul and Nat Adderley...A working member of both Freddie Hubbards' Band and Oscar Petersons' Trio—undoubtedly he has all the credentials necessary to be a Leader in his own right, which he is—leading his own band for the past ten years with his "Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band." This illustrious Percussionist, who has achieved Worldwide recognition released a new recording in 2009; "The Timekeeper, " on the 18th St. & Vine Label. We are proud to welcome to the stage of "Jammin" the one and only Mr. Louis Hayes, and his dynamic ensemble "Jammin'; The Summer Concert Series for the 'serious' Jazz Lover!"
