| CD Release Party for Smooth Jazz Guitarist John Carey Palm Springs local and lead guitarist of "The Smooth Brothers, " John Carey along with Gico Music, will be celebrating the release of John's latest CD single "Out On the Town" with a live performance of several compositions from his upcoming debut CD "Out On the Town" which is due to hit the stores June 2011. This celebratory event will be held at the Palm Desert's hot spot, Sullivan's Steak House, 73505 El Paseo, Palm Desert, CA. Sunday, November 7, 2010, at 5:00 PM. The single "Out on the Town, " which was written, arranged, composed and produced by John Carey, has a fun, upbeat rhythmic progression with a smooth jazz melodic vibe. "When you listen to this song, it makes you want to get up and go out on the town and just have a funky good time, " quotes executive producer Gina Green. This song also includes contributions from Bassist Kevin Tyler, drummer Nat Scott, percussionist Gary Stanionis and vocalist Gina Green. Because of his ability to captivate audiences nationwide with his unique guitar tricks and his sultry, soulful, jazzy sound, many fans have compared him to the likes of guitar superstars, Norman Brown, Chuck Loeb, Larry Carlton, and George Benson. Along John's musical journey, he has recorded 4 independently released CD's and has opened for many musical phenomenon's such as Natalie Cole, George Benson, Earth Wind and Fire, Ledisi, Warren Hill, Queen Latifah, Brian Culbertson, Boney James, Mindi Abair, Norman Brown, Buddy Guy, Al Jarreau, Gerald Albright and others. The new CD single "Out on the Town, " will be pre-released and available for purchase at Sullivan's Steak House on Sunday, November 7, 2010. John will also be available for personalized autographs.
