| Anglesea turns live music into a festival this October The festival will feature a mix of grassroots and established acts playing blues, jazz, rock, folk, alternative and a smattering of reggae. Some of the artists set to perform include Bellarine Peninsula's blues great Chris Wilson, Wendy Stapleton, Dave Steel, Tiffany Eckhardt, The Sweethearts, Mojo corner, Tony Johannsen and the Land of Plenty, Chubby Rae and the Elevators, Marisa Quigley, and many more. And visitors can bring along their instruments and get into the spirit of things with workshops include harmonica, singing and drumming. Anglesea is situated on the iconic Great Ocean Road and is close to Geelong, Torquay and Melbourne. If you're looking for Surf Coast accommodation that also has the advantage of a superb location, you can't beat Anglesea Beachfront Family Caravan Park. There is a range of accommodation to suit everyone's needs and budgets, from self contained rustic timber spa and deluxe cottages, to budget park cabins with kitchen and ensuites. There is also a two bedroom superior deluxe cottage to cater for people who need assistance with mobility. If you really want to get close to nature and camp, there are large grassed sites along the river side, or you can choose the bush camping area which is only 50 metres from the water. All sites are powered, and the fees cover caravan and annexe, or two tents per site. When you want a break from all the music, you can run down the path and be ready to take on the surf in no time – as the name says, it's right on the beach front! There are BBQ facilities and with the river only a couple of minutes walk away there's no excuse not to take along the fishing gear to catch your evening meal. You are guaranteed to catch a bream whether it is big or small. The caravan park has every amenity to entertain all members of the family – there's a games room, playground, jumping pillow and heated indoor pool. The beautiful grounds are abundant with native plants and birdlife. There's safe swimming where the river meets the ocean, perfect for young children, and great surf for would-be surfers at this Surf Coast accommodation option. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Jazz News :: home page |
