| Buddy Guy to play special benefit concert in Boston The National Braille Press has announced plans for a special benefit concert in Boston featuring legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy. The show will take place at the House of Blues on Lansdowne Street and is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 1. Opening for Guy will be local favorites Ernie & the Automatics. "We are very excited to have Buddy Guy for our first fundraising event, " said National Braille Press President Brian MacDonald in a press release. "He's one of the legendary guitar gods that Eric Clapton himself calls his favorite blues axmen." The Boston based non-profit organization is located in Boston's Fenway neighborhood and was founded in 1927 with the mission of ensuring that blind people have the same access to information as sighted people in a medium the can read, Braille. The organization supports a lifetime of opportunity for blind children through Braille literacy and provides access to information that will empower blind people to actively engage in work, family and community affairs, with customers in all 50 states, Canada and overseas.
