Unique Greenwich Barn to Become Jazz Club for One Night

Backcountry Jazz, a Greenwich-based non-profit, presents concerts and educational programs by celebrated jazz artists, using the transformative power of music to catalyze change in both individuals and communities. Within its target cities, Backcountry Jazz works collaboratively with partner organizations to invigorate communities both educationally and socially, while building future audiences for America's unique cultural heritage. These concerts, part of Backcountry Jazz Weekend, are a collaboration with the Bridgeport Public Schools: Tania Kelley, Superintendent of Arts Education, (203) 332-2756. Donations for the barn concert are requested at a minimum of $250 per seat. Proceeds are used to fund the Quick Center concerts as well as scholarships, workshops, outreach programs and other performances. The Quick Center concerts are free to the 1, 000 children expected to attend.
