| World-class jazz instruction at Lake Field Music camp Lake Field Music (formerly CAMMAC Ontario Music Centre) is an Ontario-based non-profit organization devoted to creating musical community for recreational, skilled and semi-professional instrumentalists and singers, working in all musical styles. Along with presenting musical workshops and concerts across the province, our primary project is a unique and exciting summer music camp for adults and families presented each August in the beautiful Kawartha lake region, on the grounds of Lakefield College School. Our 2010 camp programs run August 1-8 (Week 1: Jazz, world, and folk traditions focus) and August 8-15 (Week 2: Classical/chamber, world and folk traditions focus). For the third year, our world-class faculty is led by Artistic Director and 8-time Juno nominee Michael Occhipinti: An 8-time JUNO Award nominee and winner of the prestigious Ragusani nel mondo prize in Sicily, Michael Occhipinti is a nationally recognized guitarist and leads a number of projects, including the jazz orchestra NOJO (with Paul Neufeld), his Creation Dream quintet, and The Sicilian Jazz Project with whom Michael toured internationally in 2009. www.michaelocchipinti.com Week 1 features: world-class faculty in guitar, keyboards, percussion, trumpet and bass, and NOJO leading an original big band version of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon! As well, try a class with Ravi Naimpally, Indian hand drumming; Martin van de Ven, Woodwinds and Klezmer, Lisa Martinelli, Choir for all, Susan Newman, Musical theatre; and Quisha Wint, Gospel and Soul vocals!
