| Earth, Wind & Fire Step In After Franklin Cancels Festival Appearance R&B icons Earth, Wind & Fire stepped in to replace soul legend ARETHA FRA NKLIN when she pulled out of a performance at a Louisiana music festival on Friday (30Apr10). Franklin was due to headline the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, but told organisers she wouldn't be able to perform just 24 hours before she was billed to hit the stage, giving no reason for her cancellation. Festival bosses were left struggling to find a replacement, when last y ear's (09) headliners Earth, Wind & Fire stepped up and offered to fill t he slot.
