Emerging New Jersey Singer Pat Guadagno Releasing Double-CD

On a rainy May 24th, an intimate gathering of bar patrons challenged singer Pat Guadagno to sing nothing but Dylan songs to celebrate Bob's birthday. As the story goes, an annual event ensued, and 'BobFest' quickly became 'New Jersey's hippest tradition' happening every May 24th. This year's BobFest will be held at the Two River Theater in Red Bank NJ.

"I consider them original interpretations of other people's art, " says Pat Guadagno when asked about the types of songs he sings. Releasing his latest Double-CD, "That's a Bob Dylan Song – BobFest '09" available on iTunes, Guadagno shines on this album by adding his personal touch to these classic Bob Dylan songs.

A Saloon singer who, according to Guitar World Magazine, "…would sooner re-tool a forgotten song than bring a new one into the world, Pat Guadagno combines robust vocals and rapid-fire picking with effortless intuitiveness to give new meanings to old songs". His unique adaptations have been featured on Film and TV soundtracks and are showcased in his highly acclaimed debut album, "Live at the City Lights Saloon."

Guadagno has entertained families such as the Rockefellers' in New York and the Kennedys' in Massachusetts. He has sung our National Anthem at the Inauguration
ceremony of the Governor of New Jersey as well as Major league Ballparks across the US including Jacobs Field in Cleveland and Camden Yards in Baltimore. He has performed for Navy Troops on board the USS America in the Persian Gulf and is one of 16 guitarists chosen from around the world to headline the International Guitar Festival in Zihuatanejo Mexico two years in a row.

The New York Times called Pat Guadagno "A well-traveled troubadour with a remarkable repertoire that spans decades of Country, Blues, Rock and Soul music....the musical journey is always an unpredictable ride."

Pat has appeared in concert with Blues Legends B.B. King, Keb Mo', and Stevie Ray Vaughn; Country Stars Tanya Tucker, Delbert McClinton, and The Mavericks as well as Folk Legends Roger McGuinn, Peter, Paul and Mary and America.

Guadagno's version of Warren Zevon's "Don't Let us Get Sick" is featured on the hit Showtime series Californication, Starring David Ducovney.

"I feel like I am finally starting to rise above the 'disgrace' of not writing my own material. Townes Van Zandt and Leonard Cohen are terrific songwriters. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin are wonderful singers. Mariano Rivera is the Greatest Relief Pitcher of all time and he can't hit a lick! I do what I do well and leave the songwriting to those who have been called upon to be such." says Guadagno.
