The Schomberg Fair Ring in 2010 at The Horseshoe Tavern's

When The Schomberg Fair takes the stage on New Year's Eve, they'll have a lot to toast to: In the past two months the band released a new album to critical acclaim, wrapped up a cross-country tour and their first single, Tall Grass, topped the Indie and folk charts across Canada.

"It's the icing on the cake being asked to play with this amazing group of artists, " says vocalist/bassist Nathan Sidon. "The New Year's Eve party with The Sadies at the 'Shoe is an institution and we're super excited."

Known for "hard-breathing, sweat-stained, late-night speed-gospel sets, " The Schomberg Fair is the perfect addition to the legendary annual alt-country event.

According to a recent review, "You'd have to be iron-hard-hearted, deaf drunk, dead, or all three to not appreciate the rumbling blues-punk roots of Toronto tripod of speed gospel, The Schomberg Fair."

About Us: Hi-Hat Recordings is an independent record company founded in 2001 by Toronto-based musician Spookey Ruben. In addition to The Schomberg Fair, Hi-Hat represents The Job and Corpusse, and recently launched a film/TV division.
