Mosaic Harmony presents “The Many Moods of Love”

Mosaic Harmony, an interfaith, multicultural community choir based in Northern Virginia, proudly presents David K. North and the House of Jam band in a pre-Valentine's Day concert to benefit Mosaic Harmony. The concert will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 7:30pm at UUCF, 2709 Hunter Mill Road, Oakton, VA.

Tickets are currently on sale through Mosaic Harmony's website, www.mosaicharmony.org and are available at three different levels, which includes a limited number of sweetheart table with amenities. The concert marks the third time the band has performed to benefit the choir and its operations. North, who also serves as director of Mosaic Harmony, says, "It was fantastic to be able to perform in Northern Virginia since we are primarily based in Maryland." The band consists of David Ylvisaker-keyboards, vocals; Dave Hanbury-lead and acoustic guitar, vocals; Steve Sachse- bass guitar; Andy Hamburger-percussion and David K. North-lead vocals.

The band whose repertoire includes Pop, Top 40, R&B, jazz and rock and roll, is comprised of a group of friends with well over 25 years of expertise in the professional music business. That expertise has served them well as it includes studio and location recording, recording mixing and mastering, performance and group management. Deciding to become a band in the fall of 2008 and naming the group after Hanbury's Beltsville MD based recording studio, the band has performed at several venues since their November 2008 concert. "Performing as a group was something we had always discussed over the years and never seemed to get around to doing", said North, who had his own busy schedule to contend with, is currently featured in the stage play "Black Nativity" at the Washington DC H Street Playhouse. North is scheduled to be interviewed on Black Bag Productions' online Blog Talk Radio show (www.blogtalkradio.com/blackbagproductions) on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2:00pm to discuss the band and their upcoming concert for Mosaic Harmony.

Mosaic Harmony draws on the rich heritage of African-American inspirational music to demonstrate unity in the midst of diversity. We bring together people of diverse cultures, ages, backgrounds, and 17 faith traditions to celebrate humanity. Performances throughout the year for a wide variety of audiences futhers our mission and goal of unifying the world one song at a time.
