Hallelujah! Gospel Festival comes to Rome

Whatever music those staying at hotels in Rome may prefer, there is bound to be something in the city to suit their tastes. Whether it is classical, rock or the fun of a pop concert that tickles their fancy, there are always events in the city to entertain.

However, any gospel fans may be especially pleased to learn about one event that will get them singing and dancing to this energetic and exuberant musical genre.

From December 20th until the 31st, the annual Roma Gospel festival will be taking place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica and this could be the perfect way to celebrate Christmas and really get into the spirit of the season.

It is now into its 14th year and although gospel is often linked to religious services, it is still a form of blues music that anyone can enjoy.

Groups from across the US descend on Rome and the lively line up includes an impressive schedule of performances, most of which begin at 9pm.

Some of the acts appearing at the festival include the Harlem Gospel Choir – which is considered to be the most famous group of its kind in America - Craig Adams and the Voice of New Orleans, the Anointed Pace Sisters and Voices of Deliverance.

"LateRooms anticipates heavy demand for hotel Roma due to the Roma Gospel festival and recommends that people attending book their accommodation early, " says LateRooms head of marketing Jess Reading.
