| Jason Hemmens New CD Single Newcomer Jason Hemmens releases this week, "The Sun Don't Shine Anymore", the first single from his upcoming December 8 CD release, Welcome To Reality. The single is produced by Jason Hemmens and Sassy Outwater. "Jason is the master of writing catchy, edgy melodies. Every line carries itself perfectly. When he first sent me this song, I knew he had written a hit, and there's plenty more where that came from!" explains Outwater. The CD is produced by Jason Hemmens and Sassy Outwater and mixed by Grammy-winner, Tom Weir. The album will feature some of Los Angeles finest studio musicians, Herman Jackson on keyboards, Ronald Bruner, Jr. on drums, Lance Tolbert on bass and Tim Pierce on guitar. Hemmens, a Boston native, grew up listening to everything from eighties rap to classic rock, blues, jazz and country. "This project has been a labor of love for me. The CD represents my tastes and its' blend of influences from Prince, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and David Sanborn." says Jason. " With this particular single, I wanted to write a song that could make every listener truly feel the emotions and visualize the state of despair caused by a break up." Jason adds. He lived in Louisiana for several years performing at clubs on Bourbon Street and graduated from the University of New Orleans before moving to Los Angeles to pursue his dream in music. Jason's talents are well represented throughout the CD as he has mastered the art of a true multi-instrumentalist, fluent on saxophone, harmonica, piano and bass as well as being an accomplished vocalist. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Jazz News :: home page |
