| New CD Entitled 'Panoramic View' By Jazz Guitarist Tony Copeland On June 6, 2007, Tony was driving an 18 wheeler on I-10 in Houston and was struck by a smaller truck. While waiting in his attorney's office a young lady walked in by the name of Blessing. She asked Tony if she could record a cd there. The attorney and her husband owned a recording studio which happened to be located inside the suite. Tony suggested that she speak to the attorney. At that time the Attorney who I won't mention by name walked in. Blessing spoke with her briefly in private. The attorney approached Tony and asked him if he would be willing to produce Blessing's cd project. Tony agreed and in return, was allowed to record and produce his own music. That is how 'Panoramic View' came into existence. Now that Tony had the projected recorded, he decided to release it to the public. He licensed and started his own independent record label naming it, Danay Records after his daughter. The jazz guitar project consists of 13 tracks, each inspired by some aspect of Tony's life circumstances. For example 'Audrey Tia' is the name of his ex-wife Tia and her sister Audrey. This track is an album favorite most of the fans. Since its release in September 2009, Tony's fan base has steadily increasing worldwide. Danay Records a newly established company, is based in Houston TX and is home to jazz recording artist, Tony Copeland. The company was founded by Mr. Copeland as a basis to record, publish and market his music. As the company grows financially, Danay Records plans to sign new artist to the label. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Jazz News :: home page |
