Mar Creation Records Hosts Compilation CD Release Party

Independent record label, Mar Creation, will be hosting a CD release party on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 7:30 pm for its first compilation CD entitled, "Samba do Mar". The album features 9 original songs and one cover song from 10 diverse artists - three of whom will perform with other musical guests at the release party being held at Karma (51 First Avenue (between 3rd and 4th Streets) New York, NY 10003). "Samba do Mar" features five vocal tracks and five instrumental pieces in the genres of Jazz, Pop, Latin and Brazilian by artists hailing from such places as Brazil, Portugal, Japan, Argentina and the US. Six of the artists are Mar Creation artists: Daniel Baeder, Dario Boente & Huge in Japan, Catarina dos Santos, George Petit, Mar Project and TANGA. Four of the other featured artists are: Joseph Diamond, ERIKA, ShannonMarie and The Paul Carlon Octet. "Samba do Mar" offers a blend of different sounds to highlight what Mar Creation has to offer to listeners who seek fresh music.

The CD release party will present some Mar Creation artists as well as special guest appearances. ShannonMarie, a pop singer/songwriter originally from Tennessee, will be performing with guitarist Dean Bailin, who is also an internationally-reknown producer, songwriter and arranger who has worked with Rupert Holmes, Kurtis Blow and Gilda Radner. Japanese pop artist TANGA, who recently made his US debut with the single "All I Want for a Christmas Day", will be performing with percussionist Nanny Assis and keyboardist Manu Koch. TANGA's upcoming debut album "On the Radio" is due out shortly. And jazz vocalist ERIKA, whose first solo album "Obsession" has recently been released, will take the stage with guitarist Paul Meyer. ERIKA's album features artists Carlton Holmes, Romero Lubambo and Paulo Levi, and she is slated to begin her semi-annual Japan tour next month

Tickets for the CD release party are $8 and guests will also receive a free copy of TANGA's CD single with entrance fee. Mar Creation is an independent record label featuring a diverse lineup of talented international artists, spanning the genres of jazz, rock, pop, World music, classical and electronica.
