| DHRME Presents Collings Guitars at Third Showroom Celebration ![]() Bill Collings has created an organization that produces boutique-quality instruments, both acoustic and more recently electric. Collings Guitars continuously receives rave reviews, including the "Best in Show" award presented by a panel of industry professionals at the 2009 Summer NAMM show (the trade association of the international music products industry). The DHRME celebration also will present Collings endorser, Pete Huttlinger, from Nashville. He has been a featured artist with the San Diego and Houston symphonies and is a favorite guest artist of the Nashville Chamber Orchestra. In 2000, Huttlinger won the title of National Fingerstyle Champion at the prestigious Walnut Valley Festival. After five years in the solo spotlight, Pete has just released his latest CD, The Santa Rita Connection, hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed Naked Pop CD. Other guitarists set to perform on September 26 are DHR's newest endorser, Rhett Butler, from Dallas; DHR's left-handed national spokesman & endorser, Dillon Hodges, from Florence, AL; and DHR's Director of Client & Artist Relations, Bill Neale. Joining these stellar guitarists will be Nashville's Tim May on dobro, Paul Patterson on mandolin/ violin, Scott Risner on mandolin, DHR's Keyboard Specialist, Pat Kelly, on Hammond Organ, Don Aren on bass and Randy Winters on drums. The celebration, which is free and open to the public, includes complimentary refreshments; live entertainment (bluegrass, R&B, blues, jazz and more); a display of Collings Guitars; music-themed sculptures by John Leon; an exhibition of guitar photography; and a door prize by photographer Mike Schneider. The celebration continues on Sunday, September 27, with special hours from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. A successful internet-based guitar dealer, DHR Music opened its unique showroom experience in May. In addition to selling world-class instruments and related products, DHR Music is focused on creating a total experience, promoting the concept of music as art.
