| The Creative Opportunity Orchestra Performs a Tribute To Tina Marsh Austin's legendary jazz group, the Creative Opportunity Orchestra (led by interim Artistic Director John Mills), will perform in Austin, Texas on September 11, 2009 in tribute to the late Tina Marsh, longtime Artistic Director and vocalist extraordinaire.This concert will be the orchestra's farewell performance. As an edifying and illuminating force in jazz for nearly 30 years, the Creative Opportunity Orchestra has featured some of Austin's finest composers, arrangers, and musicians. The evening's program of all-original works includes the world premiere of a new piece written by saxophonist John Mills in Tina's memory entitled, To Heights Unknown. The lovely outdoor setting of the Laguna Gloria Amphitheatre was Tina's most beloved performance location.
