| Denver Power Trio goes National GeeDub is an ass-kicking re invigoration of the Texas Blues Style made famous by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert Collins and Billy Gibbons with a bit of crossover into Country-Rock. The project started as a collaboration between GCMA Award Winner Brian Walton and former Crave members: Drummer William "BigDub" Young and Bassist Ken "Rev. Kenny M." Martinez. Brian's Rip-Roaring Guitar licks and Crisp Vocals along with William and Kenny's Ball busting back beat make GeeDub one of the most exciting Power Trio's to arrive on the scene in recent years. The Band's signature track, a re-vamp of the 1991 hit, "Made in the Shade" debuted on the Billboard charts in August of 2009 and took the Trio from local obscurity to a national phenomenon practically overnight. Independent Record Label, Blue Rhino Records, announced today that Internet sales of "Made in the Shade" reached 5000 within the first week of release and play's on the popular Internet Radio Station Jango exceeded 7000. Blue Rhino, a Sony partner, also announced they would be producing the group's Debut Album, but would not elaborate further on a release date. write your comments about the article :: © 2009 Jazz News :: home page |
