| 'Jazz Things Up' with a Trip to London Those visiting London over the August bank holiday weekend unwind and enjoy the perfect combination of beer and music. Kicking off on August 27th, the Hampton Court Palace Beer and Jazz Festival gives visitors the chance to hear music from renowned acts including the James Taylor Quartet and jazz legend Courtney Pine, while exploring the grounds of Henry VIII's former home. Other acts set to take to the stage include saxophonist Johnny Boston, salsa band Manteca and Latin jazz quintet Samara. On the beer side of things, those attending the festival can treat themselves to a tipple in the Real Ale Garden or Cider Orchard. Bottled beers and exotic cocktails will be available from the Bar Fiesta, as well as a special brew created to mark the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's crowning. Events are spread across five days and tickets start from GBP7 for entry into some of the sessions, increasing to GBP20 for Sunday entry after 5pm. Official festival beer glasses are also available for purchase. Located within easy reach of most London hotels, Hampton Court Palace is one of the capital's most popular historic attractions. As well as exploring the building and learning about the life of Henry VIII, those visiting the palace can watch live Tudor cookery demonstrations, wander through the extensive gardens and take a look around the Chapel Royal.
