Pete Yorn Brings "Summertime Romance" To Good Morning America

Tune in to Good Morning America on July 27 to hear singer-songwriter Pete Yorn perform "Don't Wanna Cry, " the first single off his critically acclaimed new album, 'Back and Fourth.' Yorn, a New Jersey native, will be back east for a hometown show at the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ tonight and two performances at Webster Hall's Grand Ballroom on July 28 and 29 as part of his cross-country summer tour. Yorn spent May and June on the road opening for Coldplay, and his current headlining dates find him wowing audiences from coast to coast through the end of August.

The tour kicked off July 9 in San Diego and has been receiving rave reviews. The OC Register wrote that "[Yorn's] powerful pop [is] something special... this is well-crafted stuff." CMT.com called him a true "rock star" after his Nashville concert, and The Houston Press marveled that "The new single 'Don't Wanna Cry' from this year's Back And Fourth is an awfully shattered and battered tale, wringing out aural tears over four minutes of raining chords."

'Back and Fourth, ' out now on Columbia Records, continues to stun critics who call the record "ephemeral and bittersweet, like a summertime romance" (USA Today) and, "a beauty... the lyrics have more depth and sting [than previous work]" (Rolling Stone). People Magazine described the album as "perfect music for the morning after" and the Huffington Post called it "mesmerizing" and "on course as one of the best albums of 2009."
