Motown Legend Chris Clark to Perform in UK

Chris Clark, the first white female vocalist ever to record an album for Motown, will be appearing in the UK in November as part of the Mama Group's "Divas of Motown" series. Miss Clark will be appearing at The London Jazz Cafe on November 11th and at The London Apollo on November 13th.

Signed to Motown in early 1965, she scored with the R&B classic "Love's Gone Bad" in 1966, following this up in 1967 with the "Soul Sounds" album.

"Soul Sounds" was recently reissued in the USA on Reel Music (66748-78010-2) and garnered a four-star review in the August 2009 issue of Mojo Magazine.

The reissue includes Clark classics such as "I Want To Go Back There Again" (written by Clark with Motown founder Berry Gordy), "Do Right Baby, Do Right" and ten others.

It features a 20 page booklet with extensive essay a rare photos from Chris' personal collection.

Distribution in the USA is through City Hall Records and Ernie B.
