Jim Peterik's Lifeforce Brings 'Jazz That Rocks' to The Abbey

Chicago music legend Jim Peterik will bring his latest project, the smooth jazz group "Lifeforce" to Chicago's Abbey Pub for a special one-night-only appearance on Saturday, July 25th at 8pm.

Peterik's career has spanned five decades as a platinum hit songwriter with The Ides Of March and Survivor, as well as co-writing hits with .38 Special and Sammy Hagar. In the past two years, he has added smooth jazz to his resume, although spinning it with his unique personal style.

"I like to call it jazz that rocks, " says Peterik - and the crowds that have witnessed the group's performances have indeed confirmed that Peterik, once again, is onto something.

Featured in the group is the extraordinary singer LISA McCLOWRY, who can scorch the stage with romantic ballads one moment, and float cool in the next. Also on tap is Chicago jazz stalwart Steve Eisen on Saxophone. Chicago jazz piano phenom JOE HURT and his trio will open the show.

The Abbey Pub is located at 3420 W. Grace in Chicago. Doors open at 7pm on the 25th. The cover charge is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
