| Eagle To Release Diana Krall's 'Live in Rio' on DVD and Blu-ray Eagle Rock Entertainment, through its wholly-owned Eagle Vision and Eagle Vision HD subsidiaries-will release one of today's finest singer/songwriters, Diana Krall, Live In Rio, simultaneously on DVD and Blu-ray May 26 (pre-book order date May 6; Live in Rio features Krall with her quartet-Anthony Wilson (guitar), John Clayton (bass) and Jeff Hamilton (drums)-plus a full orchestra on 18 lush, romantic, and evocative songs. This DVD showcases Krall performing standards such as "Where Or When, " "Too Marvelous For Words, " "I've Grown Accustomed To His Face, " and Hal David and Burt Bacharach's "Walk On By, " among others. Many of these tracks are off the Quiet Nights (Verve) CD release, her 12th studio album. What makes this performance so special is that Krall recreates these classics, imbuing them with her unique fusion of jazz, samba, and bossa nova. The bonus feature "Conversations" provides an intimate interview with Diana and her band during their stay in Rio de Janeiro, the city that she credits for inspiring her fascination with these latin styles. Also included is the new video for "The Boy From Ipanema." The 149-minute Blu-ray includes the aforementioned plus-as a Blu-ray exclusive feature-"The Rooftop Sessions:" four additional tracks ("The Boy From Ipanema, " "Too Marvelous For Words, " "Cheek To Cheek" and "Quiet Nights") also filmed in Rio. Since her debut in 1993, Diana Krall has topped both the pop and jazz charts, selling millions of records worldwide. Quiet Nights (released March 31), which she co-produced, is her first full-length studio release since 2006's From This Moment On (her third consecutive Top 10 "Billboard 200" album). In her 17-year career, this Grammy-Award winning artist has also accrued an international fan base, having sold out amphitheaters in many countries.
