Sierra Guitars Supports the High Sierra Music Festival

Sierra Guitars is proud to be a sponsor for the second year in a row of the 19th Annual High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, CA July 2-5, 2009! Eco-conscious Sierra Guitars is a perfect fit with this environmentally friendly music festival. The High Sierra Festival features more than 75 national and international performers and is considered one of the finest showcases for emerging artists in the country.

As part of its sponsorship, Sierra Guitars will be donating two Sierra guitars, a Compass Travel-Size guitar with travel bag and an Acoustic-Electric Sequoia Dreadnought in Vintage Sunburst with gig bag. Both guitars are to be raffled off during the event with proceeds to benefit the High Sierra Foundation. The High Sierra Foundation was established in 2003 to raise awareness and funds for worthwhile organizations related to music, art, education and social justice. In 2005 the High Sierra Foundation established a special fund to give direct aid to those affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and thanks to support from the High Sierra community they've been able to donate much-needed funds to the New Orleans music community.

In addition, Sierra Guitars will be hosting an online guitar giveaway beginning the first day of the Del McCoury Music Festival. Produced in association with The High Sierra Music Festival, the 2nd Annual Del McCoury Music Festival, also known as Delfest, will take place over Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-24, 2009 in Cumberland, Maryland. The public can begin entering to win a Sierra Sunrise Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Natural by visiting www.sierraguitars.net beginning May 22. The Sierra giveaway ends two days after the close of the High Sierra Music Festival, on July 8th, 2009.
