| Lyle Lovett and His Large Band to Perform at the Rosebud Theatre Four-time Grammy Award-winner and one of the all-time great American singer-songwriters to perform this summer at The Rosebud Theatre. The Rosebud Theatre announces the upcoming presentation, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, will perform on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 8:00 pm Central Time. Lyle Lovett is one of the all-time great American singer-songwriters. The guitarist and four-time Grammy Award-winner is hard to categorize; USA Today called his style "always versatile, " with songs that range from country to swing, blues, gospel, folk and jazz, demonstrating an eclectiscism as large as his native Texas. Also an actor, Lovett has appeared in a number of films, including Robert Altman's The Player, Short Cuts, The Opposite of Sex, Cookie's Fortune and composed for Altman's Dr. T and the Women. More recently, he has acted in The New Guy and Walk Hard; the Dewey Cox Story. His television acting forays include Mad About You, Brothers & Sisters and Dharma & Greg.
