| Azusa Street Festival and Kingdom Summit The fourth annual Azusa Street Festival and Kingdom summit will be held on April 23-26th, 2009. The festival will feature Dr. Patricia Bailey-Jones of Masters Touch Ministries from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Pastor Sunday Adelaja, Founder and Senior Pastor of the Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for All Nations in Kyiv, Ukraine. There will be a private session for pastors and leaders to discuss many different issues focused around the ethnic divide between black and white Christians. Also on the agenda will be Prop 8, praying for our President, the Obama factor, Global Justice issues & abortion... Pastor Jim Garlow Skyline Church and Pastor Ed Smith Zoe Christian Fellowship will lead us in a relational dialogue about Unity in the Body of Christ. Come and fellowship with international leaders, missionaries and five fold ministers. This event is sponsored by the Azusa Street Mission and Historical Society which seeks to educate the public about the historical significance of the Azusa Street Mission and the global Pentecostal Movement's impact on our society. The schedule includes Azusa Street Heritage walking tour from Azusa Street to Biddy Mason home on Thursday, April 23 @ 3pm. Biddy Mason was the original owner of the downtown location which became known as the Azusa Street Revival and cradle of the Pentecostal movement. She founded the First African Methodist Church at 3rd and Spring Street. Friday, April 24th @ 6:30 a VIP fundraising reception will feature artist Violinist Maurice Sklar and Gospel jazz saxophonist Ron Brown. Dr. Patricia Bailey-Jones will present missionaries and mission organizations that have been impacting the world. The mini-concert event will be broadcasted live over the internet at www.azusastreetmission.org Viewers will be encouraged to support local ministries and come out the following day in downtown Los Angeles to feed the homeless and less fortunate. Saturday, April 25th @ 8am local churches will accomplish the great commission by feeding and blessing the homeless at Union Church parking lot, at the corner of 3rd street and San Pedro street. The rest of the all day festival will feature artist from every spectrum of music. The mid day activities include speaker Dr. Patricia Bailey-Jones and her husband Attorney Daryll Baliey-Jones. They will present a workshop on Global Justice workshops by Attorney Daryll Jones introduction to "Legal Missions" part 1 & 2. Questions will be answered about social justice and the church's role and responsibility. At 5pm we will present the annual William J. Seymour award to our international and national recipients: Pastor Sunday Adelaja, Senior Pastor of the Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for All Nations in Kyiv, Ukraine, will receive the first International William J. Seymour Award. The national recipient will be Dr. Pat Bailey-Jones founder of Master's Touch Ministries, a mission outreach that has headquarters in North Carolina, Los Angeles, and London, England. Sunday, April 26th participants will be given an opportunity to visit leading African American churches in the inner city such as ZOE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, West Angeles Church and Crenshaw Christian Center.
