The passionate music that lifts human spirit and touches your soul!

Omnium is a state of mind as much as a band. Hailing from Moscow, Russia this four-piece force is on a musical mission to restore fusion to its rightful place the hearts and minds of the people. Omnium released their full-length debut album 'Commander Stride' in 2005 and have performed at number of prestigious jazz festivals and put out several live concert videos ever since.

The band was created in 2004 and first it was a guitar-based trio. From the very beginning the bandleader Ruslan Moiseev was eager to combine the contemporary jazz language with the cutting edge or rock music. His band-mates, a bassist Vadim Morozov and a guitarist Oleg Schegolev added up to that concept quite successfully. Shortly after, the band was joined by a very prominent musician Vladimir Goloukhov, who is playing on unique and rare instrument - MalletKAT (electronic vibraphone). That addition has made the band's sound truly remarkable. Now OMNIUM is a four-piece all original band (guitar, bass, electronic vibraphone and drums) that plays music in the style of Power Fusion, which is a quite virtuoso and well-crafted stuff written by the members of the band. The band plays locally in different clubs and at larger venues across the country on a regular basis with a big success, ever-growing following, and good CD sales.

Their performance always turns to be a blast wherever they play! OMNIUM has given several invariably enjoyable and crowd-pleasing shows at the international jazz and rock-festivals over the last year and has left audiences with double encore performances. The band became renown for their originality and quality of their unique sound that evolves almost organically, in a heady atmosphere that draws the band and audience together.

OMNIUM wan awarded the Grand-Prize at the number of national and international jazz festivals.and was voted "The Best Jazz Band 2006". The band has had favorable press from local papers, numerous Internet e-zines, music magazines and the all-national TV exposure.

The main motivation and inspiration behind the band's performances are to play the passionate music that would lift people's spirit and touch a human soul. And keep trying to create the sort of music that could have a positive impact on people's lives is what the band members do most of the time when they are not performing.

One of the most important features with OMNIUM is that the band is trying to revive the art of ensemble improvisational musicianship. OMNIUM is actually the band of soloists; joined, continued and vivid dialog of the musicians as well as a spontaneous interaction on the common creative ground, such a 'witch brew' that is going on right in front of the audience, that is the main creative principle of OMNIUM.
