| Diana Krall Celebrates Release Of 'Quiet Nights' With her new album 'Quiet Nights' released yesterday by Verve, GRAMMY Award-winning jazz singer/pianist Diana Krall showcased "her voice's melodic timbre, with its breathy elegance" (Mario Tarradell, Dallas Morning News, 3.31) when she performed the "killer" (Nate Chinen, New York Times, 3.29) title track on 'Live with Regis and Kelly' today. Her performance on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' airs Friday, April 3. Thousands of lucky New York fans packed the World Financial Center yesterday (see photo) for Krall's special free lunchtime concert, which featured songs from 'Quiet Nights' with backing from a full orchestra conducted by Alan Broadbent. Diana Krall proves she "is the essence of cool" (USA Weekend, 3.29) on 'Quiet Nights, ' her twelfth album with "inspired" (Entertainment Weekly, 4.3) song choices arranged by Claus Ogerman in an intimate bossa nova style.
