| 2009 jazz festival brings vibrant energy to Barbados UK million-selling singer-songwriter, James Blunt, who shot to fame in 2005 with the single 'You're Beautiful' will set the scene at the 16th Barbados Jazz Festival to be held on the island between 12th and 18th January 2009. Celebrating the best in international and local jazz talent, The Barbados Jazz Festival promises to get the crowd roaring with its spectacular 2009 line-up of world-renowned artists also featuring Harvey Mason, world renowned musician/producer & session drummer; as well as Diana Jarrett, David Burnett, Erroll Ince, Kite, the BBC Jazz Project and many more. Performances will be staged at several venues around the island including the spectacular backdrops of Sunbury Plantation House, the Heritage Park at Foursquare Rum Refinery and The Crane Resort & Residences, culminating in the popular Jazz in The Park events at Farley Hill National Park. Over the years, the Festival has featured some of the biggest names in the world of jazz.
