| Zeke Martin Takes Funk Jazz To The Next Level Boston's very own, Zeke Martin, develops an alignment between his band The Zeke Martin Project and Go Large Records for the future expansion of Boston's potential fan base. Zeke Martin, who is initially from Belgium and made his musical debut in France with Steve Lacy, has played in venues throughout the northeast. With albums under their belt such as "Landscapes (2001)" and "Funky Stuff (2006)", Boston venues like The Middle East, Slade's, The Piano Factory, Ryle's Jazz Club, and The Sky Bar have already featured Zeke Martin along with many other Boston venues. Zeke Martin procured services of the prominent northeastern based music company, Go Large Records, to develop a larger fan base from Boston to New York. With several things in the works already, Go Large Records will aim to develop a local publicity campaign as well as booking support throughout the northeast. "With somebody as developed as Zeke Martin, who has already been reviewed by publications such as Drum! Magazine and has received endorsement deals from places such as Sonor Drums and Vic Firth Drum Sticks, we should have a smooth campaign throughout the northeast, " says Jason Cardollo, a representative of Go Large Records. Fans of Zeke Martin can currently hear their music on their MySpace page and website as well as see them play live at venues throughout the northeast. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Jazz News :: home page |
