Bob Mover Claims Spotlight With It Amazes Me

Quietly entertaining jazz lovers for decades, Bob Mover is finally ready to step into the spotlight with his new album It Amazes Me. The ten-track release serves as Mover's humble testament and dedication to the art of sax – a life's work laid out in rich music. Dubbed "one of the greatest and most underexposed musicians in jazz" by legendary pianist Hank Jones, Mover is sure to finally get his share of attention with the breakthrough that is It Amazes Me.

Assembling a team of virtuosos such as Reg Schwager and Igor Burtman to aid him, Mover uses both his saxophone skills and endearing voice to craft what can only be described as one of the year's best jazz albums. From the biographical "Underdog" to the closing, poignant refrains of the title track, listeners everywhere will agree that this is no curtain call, but rather a clear indication that Mover's gig is just beginning – and the sky's the limit. Without a doubt, It Amazes Me is just a first step in introducing the rest of the world to Mover's exceptional talents. For them and jazz fans all across the globe, this is essential fare.

Bob Mover was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1952, and became an accomplished saxophonist and jazz ensemblist before the age of twenty. He established himself as a premier saxophonist in the 1970's New York jazz scene, and has been a prolific performer and recording artist ever since. It Amazes Me is his eighth release as a bandleader.
