| Michael Holt and the Trophy 500s at Cypress Creek Café Michael Holt and the Trophy 500s will be playing live with the Spencer Thomas Band at the Cypress Creek Café in Wimberly, Texas, October 11. Music starts at 8:00 pm. Holt and the Trophy 500's will be performing again with the Spencer Thomas Band on October 18 at the Green Mesquite in Austin. Michael Holt describes his music as roots blues with a "rockabilly twist." Drawing from artists such as John Lee Hooker, Jimmie Vaughn, Muddy Waters, and Buddy Guy, Michale Holt and the Trophy 500s deliver rock music with a taste of big band swing, Americana and fifties style blues. Holt is currently recording his debut album, 0 Miles to Empty, which is hoped to be released at the beginning of 2009 through his own record label, V8 Records. The album is being produced at Arland Studios and will feature ten tracks from the Holt and the Trophy 500s music catalog.
