The 22nd Annual Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival

The 22nd Annual Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival kicks off the weekend of Friday October 3rd and runs three days each over three consecutive weekends, October 3, 4, 5, October 10, 11, 12, and October 17, 18, 19. The JazzTrax line-up includes over 30 illustrious smooth-groove practitioners creating an exclusive retreat for jazz lovers. Those interested in a weekend of great jazz and laid-back island grooves can book tickets online by visiting where interactive table and seating plans allow visitors to view and choose seats.

Talent descends on Avalon each fall, and this year is a particularly rich harvest of international jazz talent from eclectic French guitarist U-NAM to the devilish delights of The Sax Pack with their famed fired up performances that defy the audience to stay in their seats. Look, for such greats as Ray Parker Jr., Warren Hill, keyboardist Gregg Karukas, Paul Brown on Guitar Night featuring Marc Antoine & Chris Standring, and Jeffrey Osborne.

There's plenty to see and do at the festival, including the series of Saturday late afternoon Wine Maker Dinners at the Country Club.

Those looking to avoid the weekend rush and get a jump on these exciting weekends, can arrive Thursday, and head for the far side of the island for "Unplugged at the Wrigley Ranch, " which includes a full barbeque dinner and bar with a foot-tapping intimate concert under the stars. This ticket includes the exclusive SECRET TOUR of the Casino's "back of the house" on Friday morning, where the inner workings and secrets of Avalon Casino and Theatre are revealed to a select few.
