| Afternoon Delights Concert: Piazzolla Perfection The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's Afternoon Delights Concert Series continues on October 8 at the Jewish Community Center of Washtenaw County, featuring the Andiamo String Quartet. A dessert reception will be held at 1:30 p.m. providing the audience a chance to mingle with these outstanding performers. Piazzolla Perfection will feature violinist Anton Shelepov with the Andiamo String Quartet. Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra violinist Shelepov is former assistant concertmaster of the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra and associate concertmaster of the St. Petersburg Mozarteum. The Andiamo String Quartet will perform works of Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992), well known for his nuevo tango style compositions, incorporating elements of jazz and classical music. The Afternoon Delights Concert Series offers five recitals given by members of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and friends. The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and the Jewish Community Center of Washtenaw County provide this opportunity to enjoy top-quality professional music at a midday time and convenient location.
