| 9/11 Commemoration At Nyse On September 11, 2008, The Rockbrokers will perform classical music, jazz, rock & roll in front of the New York Stock Exchange as The September Concert Foundation sponsors its seventh annual celebration of peace and shared humanity on 9/11/2008. September Concert Founder and Chairman Haruko Smith, who saw an opportunity to transform the pain and anguish of September 11, 2001, into a day of music to celebrate humanity, will ring the Opening Bell, joined by NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer. The Rockbrokers (stockbrokers by day) will perform in front of the Exchange, from 1:30-5:30pm (US-EST). Program: 9:25 a.m. Single-stroke bell to Mark Moment of Silence 9:26 a.m. Single-stroke bell To Complete Moment of Silence 9:30 a.m. NYSE Opening Bell 1:30 p.m. Rockbrokers commence performance in front of NYSE 2:00 p.m. Sing-along of the Beatles' "Let it Be" 5:30 p.m. Performance Ends The September Concert: What began as a grassroots effort in New York City on September 11th in 2002 has since grown into an event of global proportion. In 2007, the September Concert Foundation organized more than 200 concerts with more than 3, 400 performers. In addition to 119 concerts held in New York, 42 U.S cities hosted concerts, as did 39 international cities, such as Rome, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, Johannesburg and Casablanca. Among this year's concerts are the Rockbrokers (stockbrokers by day) performing on Wall Street. The Rockbrokers: The Rockbrokers are a group of musicians who work at the NYSE as stockbrokers, clerks, supervisors and administrative personnel. The group formed in 2000 to raise money for specific children's charities. They have staged concerts every year since 2000 and have donated more than half a million dollars to date. In addition to playing several New York venues, the Rockbrokers have performed in Germany and Austria. The show on 9/11/08 will be their first performance at the New York Stock Exchange. The members of the Band were working on the trading floor at 11 Wall Street on 9/11/01. Each lost friends in the events of September 11th and one Rockbroker lost a brother.
