| New Song Millionaire By Detroit’s Rising Country Star Billy Craig The new song Millionaire is being rolled out worldwide and it's an edgy country tune by Detroit's own rising country star Billy Craig. Billy has been busy these days with his new full length CD release, This Side of Somewhere featuring 14 original compositions. The recording started out at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, where Johnny Cash began his storied recording career, and the process was completed in the metro-Detroit area. "Receiving big radio play this summer with his hit summer song FLIP FLOPS now is the time to release something with a lot more punch" says Brad Johnson national promotions manager from All Things Media " Billy is an incredible new talent that has been slugging it out for some time now and has been building a worldwide audience" . His music is being played on country stations in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, Maine, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi and Florida and around the world and the list is growing. Billy is no stranger to the music industry. He's been kicking it around for some time now. In fact, since childhood Billy has performed in thousands of shows. From solo performances to cover and original bands, from jazz and country to rock. He has played in front of audiences of up to 25, 000 across the USA and abroad, including New York, California, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Detroit, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. For an unprecedented four times, with an open invitation to come back onto the show, Billy has been a featured artist performing live on the syndicated Mitch Albom Show on WJR in Detroit for millions of listeners across the USA. "Billy Craig has been on our show a few times and gives a terrific performance each time. His songs are easy to remember, fun to listen to and a perfect fit for our audience. The harmonies with the band are terrific too, " says Ray Prosser, engineer for the Mitch Albom Show. As a live performer on the Over Easy show with Pam Rossi on the classic rock station WCSX Detroit Billy electrified and rocked the house performing with just his acoustic guitar. Currently Billy will be doing live dates and starting the recording of his next release due out next spring. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Jazz News :: home page |
