| Steely Dan Plans Tour Finale in Santa Rosa Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen will soon be wrapping up their Think Fast, Steely Dan Summer Tour 2008, but not before two last blow-out concerts in the Sonoma Wine Country! Becker and Fagen have decided to end their critically and popularly-acclaimed tour in Santa Rosa, August 26 and 27. Tickets are still available for the Sonoma County concerts, which went on-sale in June. The concerts represent one of the most intimate opportunities ever to experience the iconic music of Steely Dan in the bands' 30+ year performance history. Presented in the 1600 seat Ruth Finley Person Theater at Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, the concerts will feature Steely Dan's incredible roster of hits, with no seat further than 75-feet from the stage! "When we first decided to make an offer to Steely Dan, it was a long shot because our theater is much smaller than the 4, 000+ seat venues the band normally plays, " said Rick Bartalini who oversees talent booking for the Arts Center's entertainment programs. "But, when we learned the band was heading west again for a private show in Las Vegas (after having played the Bay Area in July), we decided to put together our best offer possible for two nights. We didn't realize then that they would be extending their tour to come here ... or that we would get to host the finale, which is a big honor! It's the chance of a lifetime for fans to see the band in such an intimate setting, and the fact that it's the tour finale makes it even more incredible." Becker and Fagen will draw from their deep, powerful, three-decade-plus catalog of signature hits and album favorites. The dapper duo will be supported, as always, by their tight, sophisticated band of world-class R&B and jazz players.
