| Inaugural Texas Music Festival in Houston Labor Day Weekend The Inaugural Texas Music Festival, a cross-genre music extravaganza, will take place August 29 - September 1 in Houston. This unique event will be held at Reliant Arena and Eleanor Tinsley Park. Fans will have the opportunity to enjoy Blues, Jazz, Country, Gospel, Latin, Rhythm & Blues and Zydeco. "This is going to be a festival with something for everyone, " said Event Organizer James Watson. The goal was to make The Texas Music Festival something that all people could come out and enjoy and I feel as though we have been able to do that. The Texas Music Festival will welcome some of the best performers in the business. Featured artists include Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, The O'Jays, Buckwheat Zydeco, Dr. Bobby Jones & Choir, David Lee Garza, Intocable, Boney James, Cowboy Troy, Los Lobos, Oleta Adams, Chrisette Michele, Regina Bell and more. General admission tickets for the Texas Music Festival are $35 per day if purchased in advance and $50 per day if purchased at the door. A three-day pass is available for $80 and is available online only. Platinum Circle Seating is also available and includes a special entrance, complimentary parking and a special backstage lounge. As with all music festivals, there are certain items that are prohibited including umbrellas, pets and tents.
