| Free Concert Series at The Americana at Brand and The Grove Crowds will flock to The Americana at Brand and The Grove to kick back and savor the last days of summer at the free concert series featuring some of the hottest names in music. Beginning August 6, every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. throughout the month, the parks at The Americana at Brand and The Grove will be two of L.A.'s hottest venues for the best, free summer concerts in town. A premier line up of artists includes: THE AMERICANA AT BRAND AUG. 6 – Grammy nominated En Vogue kick off this year's concert series at The Americana at Brand performing R&B hits from the over twenty million albums and singles they have sold worldwide. Famous for their songs "Don't Let Go (Love)" and "Hold On, " the group has won more MTV Video Music Awards than any other female group in history and were ranked by Billboard magazine as the eighteenth most successful act of the 1990s. AUG. 13 – Grammy winner and Emmy nominated singer/songwriter Steve Tyrell will jazz up The Americana at Brand singing songs from his new album Back to Bacharach. A world renowned artist who shot to fame singing "The Way You Look Tonight" in the hit movie Father of the Bride, Steve Tyrell's first album, A New Standard, spent 90 weeks on Billboard's jazz chart and peaked in the top 5. THE GROVE AUG. 20 – The Grove goes back in time as The Temptations Revue featuring Dennis Edwards, one of the last surviving members of the original Temptations group, entertains the crowd with legendary hits including "My Girl, " and "Get Ready." As one of the most successful music acts ever to record for Motown records, the group has sold over 25 million records world-wide and have earned 14 Billboard R&B number-one singles. AUG. 27 – Ashanti makes her debut at The Grove performing songs from her most recent album, The Declaration. Having sold nearly 15 million records worldwide, Ashanti is most famous for her Grammy Award-winning debut album Ashanti which sold over 503, 000 copies in its first week of release in the U.S. In the same week, she became the first female performer to simultaneously hold the top two places on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with "Foolish, " and "What's Luv."
