| Jazz fans race to pre-order limited Passion debut album The limited release of the debut album by UK supergroup The Passion has got British jazz fans racing to Amazon to pre-order there copy before they all sell out. The group that comprises Jacqui Dankworth, Liane Carroll and Sara Colman have been together for almost ten years, but announced that with the debut album "One Good Reason" finally getting an official release that the band were breaking up to follow their own solo careers. The album, originally recorded in 2002 and only available at concerts, has been re-packaged and is going to be released by Q Note records on July 21st, however, there is a limited amount of stock and fans will need to be quick to secure a copy. Amazon is the first retailer in the UK to list the record for pre-order and expect to sell out within days of the release. The album has received excellent reviews and, despite the torrential rain, The Passion's charity performance at The Old Rectory garden (the home of Dame Cleo Laine & Sir John Dankworth) was a huge success with almost two hundred dedicated fans turning up to see the show and participate in the various memorabilia auctions held on the day. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Jazz News :: home page |
