| Mia Miata Performs at Artscape Baltimore School for the Arts alumni, former Morgan State University Choir member, and graduate of Morgan State University, Mia Miata, Baltimore's best keep secret, is scheduled to perform at the 27th annual Artscape Festival located between Baltimore's historic Mt. Royal Avenue and Cathedral streets. Mia Miata brings us a rich sound of Soul and Jazz to captivate a style she calls "Jazzy Soul." Jazzy Soul can be described as a fusion of Soul under the strong influence of traditional jazz heavily inspired by Sarah Vaughn, Nina Simone, Phyllis Hyman, Anita Baker, and Cassandra Wilson. Her vocal talents have taken her across the globe performing in Bonn, Germany, London, England, Milan, Italy, across the United States and the Caribbean. She brings her amazing gift back home to where she was trained under the late Dr. Nathan Carter, the late Margaret Lindsey Johnson, and famed vocal coach Betty Ridgeway.
