Sara Bareilles Announces 'Little Voice' Headlining Tour

Sara Bareilles will headline a run of dates throughout April 2008 in support of Little Voice, her Gold certified debut album for Epic Records featuring one of the top ten songs in the country, "Love Song" and its follow up single, "Bottle It Up." Sara is currently traveling across the country on the VH1 "You Oughta Know" Tour with James Blunt and looks forward to her intimate club dates with special guest Rachel Yamagata, as well as performances from Raining Jane and David Ford on some dates.

"As more people discover my music it's more exciting than ever to be on the road. Performance continues to be what grounds me - just taking it one
show at a time and seeing new faces at each stop along the way."

In the eight months since Sara Bareilles released her debut album, Little Voice, she has emerged as one of the most interesting breakthrough artists of 2008. She stands in a class of her own on the pop charts with a blend of pop, soul and jazz that reveals an incredible vocal prowess. Meanwhile, her brand of vulnerable irony - uptempo as on "Love Song" or sultry as on "Bottle It Up" - has won her praises, a spot high atop the charts, and comparisons to maverick songwriter/vocalists like Fiona Apple and Regina Spektor.

Recently named an "On The Verge" artist by USA Today, Sara is as popular with the critics as she is with the fans. Rolling Stone wrote, "Whether banging away at the driving 'Love Song, ' turning slinky for 'Bottle It Up, ' or getting contemplative on the gently orchestrated 'City, ' Bareilles' writing voice is uniquely her own." People Magazine applauds, "Bareilles, who possesses a rich, full-bodied voice and self-taught keyboard skills, delivers ... " and Entertainment Weekly praised her "soulful jazz vocals reminiscent of Fiona Apple and addictive pop melodies like Sara McLachlan's."

LITTLE VOICE, the debut record from Sara Bareilles, has skyrocketed up the charts, reaching the #1 spot on the iTunes album chart and maintaining
a steady climb up the Billboard 200. Her first single, "Love Song" was an
instant success, propelled in part by Sara's appearance in the quirky commercial for the Rhapsody music service that featured her performing on a grand piano in a fan's living room. Over the 2007 holiday season, downloads of "Love Song" outnumbered Alicia Keys, Josh Groban and Chris Brown.

The 27-year-old singer, pianist and songwriter from Eureka, CA released her debut album, Little Voice in July 2007. It immediately became the #1 best selling album at iTunes. Her infectious hit single "Love Song" has become a Top Ten radio hit and was featured in such TV shows as MTV's The Hills and ABC's Men In Trees. Sara has toured most recently with James Blunt on the VH1 "You Oughta Know Tour" and prior to that, with Maroon 5, Aqualung and Mika. Being selected as a VH1 "You Oughta Know" artist and her appearance in a quirky commercial for the Rhapsody music service introduced "Love Song" to the mainstream and Sara has since performed on NBC's Today Show, Regis & Kelly, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, CBS Early Show, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
